Republic road I-6 ((ブルガリア語:Републикански път I-6)) is a major road in Southern Bulgaria. It runs between Gyueshevo, at the border with Republic of Macedonia, and Burgas, at the Black Sea coast. With a total length of , I-6 road is the longest road in Bulgaria. In most of its length, between Sofia and Burgas, I-6 road is superseded by Trakia motorway (A1). ==Description==
Road I-6 begins from the border with Republic of Macedonia, at the Gyueshevo checkpoint. It bypasses Kyustendil, crosses the Konyavska mountain and then passes through the centre of Radomir. Between Radomir and Pernik road I-6 runs as a four-lane dual carriageway. It continues to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, passing through the Vladaya pass. This section is also scheduled for upgrade. Road I-6 joins the southern and eastern arcs of the Sofia ringroad and then runs south of the Balkan mountains up to the city of Sliven. The road crosses Karnobat and Aytos, before reaching Burgas, the fourth largest city in Bulgaria, situated at the Black Sea coast.
